Like a good book that is open to interpretation, a child should be empowered enough to interpret life on his/her own and educational institutions today play a big role in developing such individuals. What makes this possible is the increasingly role of the individual mind in the process of learning where learning is a process of discovery.

There was a time when education was limited to books, reading, writing notes and by hearting. But today, we are increasingly witnessing parents and educational institutions alike, pro actively including activities in the curriculum to let a child learn as much through other means as he/she would learn from books.

There are different avenues available. From just the simple act of giving your child a box of crayons and a piece of paper to the bigger things like introducing him/her to activities which involves reasoning and logic.

Letting a child explore, let's him use his/her creativity and imagination to the fullest. This freedom helps the child to develop self confidence and self esteem.

It is creativity that has led us to create something great out of something ordinary. Creativity has shaped every aspect of our lives. But for the world to progress, we need to let our kids explore their imagination and to do this, we need to give them the space and the opportunity.

Education is not merely giving knowledge, it is beyond that. It entails nurturing young minds and empowering them to be able to create meaning on their own. Education is best when it is not taught, it is left for the children to explore.
